Well it happened.

Ever since the last time I had a hard drive failure I have backed up my work religiously. Unfortunately when I returned from work the other day, it appeared that I had a power surge at the house and it happened to be the ** one day ** of many that I left the computer on before leaving for work. Both the SSD of the laptop and the external SSD didn't take kindly to it and I've lost all of my impending deviations as a result... As well as many that have never been posted.

Worse, apparently SSDs are next to impossible to recover data from due to a function called TRIM. So unless there's some miracle, it appears a great many things that I had drawn on the side for future use may never be seen.

Thanks to the most uncanny timing. The planets lined up, the moon was full, the world stopped spinning, and I've never seen a power surge in the last ten years out in my area. Jeez, talk about a beating that saps ya...

Ever have those days where you don't care much about your online footprint? Yeah. We all do. My personal life is getting to be more entrenched with my love life, so I've been less active on here. I expect before too much longer I will be married, build a new house, and see Europe. I'll have hit a crescendo.

Do I ever love the west. Sadly while up in Fairbanks, I didn't get to see the Auroraborealis very much, and the only photos I got were of the people I was with, not much to share here. I had plenty if photos after my last trip to Arizona and Utah, which maybe I'll share someday, however. I did a lot of reflecting during the trip and one thing I was thinking about, actually lended to what I've seen since I've gotten back on. Attitudes and just overall rudeness. I get that on philosophy, religion, and political discussions, tempers will flare. Not a big deal, but when people act uncivilized on art pages- it's a major turn-off. And I think that

While a bunch of commies were celebrating May Day, I was busy getting ready for my vacation. Going to be largely inactive for a while since I'll be out and about for some time. Not to mention, been working on other projects and hobbies since Spring reared its ugly (but still prettier than Winter's) face. Blah. Going to start on The Rising when I get back, but will hopefully do a few more drawings before then.
